Microsoft 365 Price Increases

Microsoft launched the Office 365 service on June 28, 2011. Since that time they have grown dramatically around the globe to over 300 million commercial seats. Additional products and services have been added along the way to improve the solution and offer additional benefits. According to Microsoft’s website, they have added 24 additional apps and over 1,400 new features and capabilities after it initially launched. Many of those additional features and capabilities have been around communications and collaboration, security and compliance, and AI and automation. These additional features have been added without adding any increase to pricing to the various Microsoft Office 365 products.

Microsoft has recently announced an increase to the price of some of their Microsoft 365 Products on March 1, 2022. Microsoft will update their pricing for the following Microsoft 365 products: Microsoft 365 Business Basic (from $5 to $6 per user), Microsoft 365 Business Premium (from $20 to $22), Office 365 E1 (from $8 to $10), Office 365 E3 (from $20 to $23), Office 365 E5 (from $35 to $38), and Microsoft 365 E3 (from $32 to $36). This is the first price increase for Microsoft 365 products since it launched.

Microsoft 365 licenses that are provided to you as part of your monthly services from ITernal Networks will increase to match the new pricing from Microsoft. If you have specific questions on how this will affect your monthly licenses, please reach out to us.
